Primus Partners conducted a study titled “India’s Journey To Leadership By 2047” with the goal of giving a thorough picture of India’s hopes and ambitions for the future by that year. The survey was completed by over fifty consultants and had both targeted and open-ended questions.

The management consulting business conducted a study with an emphasis on group conversations. The survey included observations from 33 experts and representatives from 25 different state demographics. The research attempted to provide a varied viewpoint on the socioeconomic growth of the nation and comprised 2,047 interviews, both offline and online. The research used comparative analysis to illustrate disparities between urban and rural locations as well as between demographic groups.

Put Technology First
According to the report, the nation has to prioritize the technology sector if it hopes to achieve development in other areas. The post-pandemic economy is now more focused on digital infrastructure and green industries. As the world now requires people to be cognizant of sustainable development, Indian enterprises need to strive toward producing technology focused on the future and especially design technological goods with smallest carbon footprint.

The Indian entrepreneurs must make use of cutting-edge technologies like printing, 3D printing, blockchain, AI, and AR/VR to accomplish this progress. These regions may serve as the foundation for future smart factory construction.

The Goals Of Tech Pioneers
A blend of seasoned experts and up-and-coming talent makes up India’s IT sector. According to the study, these young professionals believe they are essential to realizing “ViksitBharat’s” goals. These inventors expressed hope for the nation’s future performance and believe that technology would be the main factor in elevating India to the position of global leadership by 2047.

Of those who responded to the poll, around 53% said they were aware of the government’s 2047 goal, and 85% said they thought India could reach developed status by that year. The inventors want to use multimillion dollar start-ups to propel the economy in the direction of their purpose. In addition to focusing on developing new technologies and data science skills to create a successful future, technology workers often see personal fulfillment via travel and luxury.

The currently developing data intelligence business has chances for the private sector to seize. To assist India in making the shift from a data-rich to a data-intelligent country, it must strengthen its data analytics skills.

Proceeding Forward
“Collaboration between large technology firms, Software as a Service (SaaS) companies, and educational institutions is paramount for future success,” stated Dr. Srinath Sridharan, policy researcher and corporate adviser and honorary fellow of the Observer Research Foundation, in sharing his thoughts on the role of technology in India’s future. Ensuring that our workforce has digital skills requires aligning curriculum with industry-demanded abilities via apprenticeships and internships. Furthermore, it is imperative that the IT sector as a whole make an effort to expand the talent pool, with the goal of raising it from 4 million in 2022 to 9–10 million over the course of the next ten years. Adopting innovative technology and helping SaaS firms grow up should be joint efforts. Supporting these businesses, encouraging innovation, and helping them evolve from being just service providers to cutting-edge technological solution providers on a worldwide scale are all important tasks that industry leaders can do.

Sridharan pointed out that creating innovation clusters throughout the nation is necessary to prioritize innovation. He said, “Research and development in major industries can be further boosted by collaborations with the government, academia, and investors.” The expert said that we can lessen our reliance on imports and increase job chances for the populace by fostering innovation inside the nation.

He said that the nation’s start-up industry is another area that has to be prioritized in order to support the expansion. He said that we can encourage an innovative and entrepreneurial culture in India by providing funding to startups. He clarified, “This strategic approach contributes significantly to global advancements in critical technological domains, which not only strengthens the national economy but also enhances geopolitical influence.”
