New Delhi, May 5 , 2026: The Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management (LBSIM) proudly hosted its 29th Convocation Ceremony, celebrating the successful culmination of academic journeys for a total of 393 students across its Postgraduate Management Programmes.  The convocation ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. Alok Kumar Rai, Director of Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. 

 

During the ceremony, Gold Medalists were also honoured for their academic excellence. Divya Yadav secured the first position in PGDM (General), Kanishka topped PGDM (Financial Management), Deeksha Gupta secured the first rank in PGDM (Research & Business Analytics), Deepika Gupta stood first in PGDM (E-Business), and Arushi Bhardwaj secured the top position in PGDM (Artificial Intelligence & Data Science).

The graduating cohort comprised students from multiple specialisations, reflecting the institute’s diverse academic offerings and commitment to excellence in management education. A total of 219 students graduated from the PGDM (General) programme, 52 from PGDM (Financial Management), 58 from PGDM (Research & Business Analytics), 26 from PGDM (E-Business), and 27 from PGDM (AI & Data Science). In addition, a small number of students from previous batches were also conferred their diplomas during the ceremony.

 

Addressing the gathering, Anil Shastri, Chairman of LBSIM, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the graduating students and their families. He highlighted the institute’s strong foundation rooted in the values and ideals of Lal Bahadur Shastri, emphasizing integrity, humility, and service to the nation. He remarked that the true success of education lies not only in professional achievements but also in contributing positively to society. He urged students to carry forward the legacy of value-based leadership and act as responsible citizens in their personal and professional lives.

 

A key highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the Annual Report by Dr. Praveen Gupta, Director of LBSIM. The report provided a comprehensive overview of the institute’s achievements over the past year, including academic advancements, research initiatives, industry partnerships, placement performance, student achievements, and various institutional milestones. It underscored LBSIM’s continuous efforts to enhance academic quality, foster innovation, and strengthen its position as a leading institution in management education.

 

The grand ceremony was attended by distinguished dignitaries, esteemed faculty, members of the Board of Governors (BoG), industry representatives, and families of graduating students, creating an atmosphere of pride, achievement, and aspiration.
